I’m not an artist, just a spectator/tourist, so I don’t have a lot of right to criticize on motivatioins in various paintings, but in Elfwood I have seen so many dryads, tree spirits, ents, etc, that are just humanoid faces or limbs drawn on to trees almost as attachments - I would hope to see some with faces or other features formed by the graining of the bark or other natural growths of trees - an integral part of the tree.
